Data from the Central Statistics Office


Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC)

Irish data from the Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) is now available from ISSDA.  

SILC is an annual, EU-wide, survey conducted in Ireland by the Central Statistics Office, as part of an EU-wide programme to obtain information on the income and living conditions of different types of households.  Commencing from 2003, it is the successor survey to the ECHP and Living In Ireland datasets already available from ISSDA.  Associated documentation to this dataset can be downloaded from the list below.

To request SILC data, please download and complete the request form below, and post a signed copy to:

Note re 2006 data Please note that the initial SPSS edition of the data is not yet fully compatible with versions 11 and earlier, as it contains long variable names.  An edition compatible with earlier versions of SPSS (maximum 8 character variable names) will follow shortly.
