Census of Population - Small Area Population Statistics (SAPS) |
|
Series Information: |
Small Area Population Statistics datasets break the national data down by various geographic levels (Electoral Division, Gaeltacht, etc.). The census data relate to the de facto population, i.e. the population recorded for each area represents the total of all persons present within its boundaries on Census night together with all persons who arrived in that area on the following morning, not having been enumerated elsewhere.<br> Census data is collected every 5 years. SAPS for 1981-2002 are available from ISSDA. |
